Happy St. Patricks Day!

While I will spare you pictures of our green pancakes, eggs, and milk ( a tradition in my family) I'll tell you about our favorite new spot! The GreenHouse coffee and crepery!

The atmosphere is so fun, and has awesome artwork everywhere!

I really liked this painting on the back of the skateboard!

Our friends Matt and Cait introduced us to this HotSpot, and we fell in love. We played a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit, Drew worked on his construction studies and floor designs! While I sipped my vanilla steamed milk (a wonder that my dad introduced me to) and read Gone With the Wind, and bits of The Alchemist. Both incredible reads! All in all an incredible St. Patricks Day!

An awesome sign, and a great insentive to keep an eye on your kids!

Best Purchase Ever!

Well our vacuum broke! Along with most if the things we own right now (don't ask about cars, our washer, the fence etc etc!). So I jumped on my favorite website ksl.com and found this little beauty in perfect condition! It sells in stores for $300, I purchased this little beauty for $50, jealous! And I got to spend some quality time with Megan and Landon! A great day!

M.ade F.or E.ach O.ther!

So there I was almost 3 o'clock in the morning staring at a black ceiling. I had been laying there for probably 4 hours trying to fight genetics. My moms side of the family suffers from insomnia, and I must have done a cannonball into that area of the gene pool! Anyway... So I whip out Drew's phone and start exploring new features when I download a travel app that tells you about any place you could ever want to know about. So I type in Drews home town and am brushing up on my trivia when I notice a little fun fact!

2.2 miles away from his home (as shown on map) was this private school!!!

Now tell me this isn't just screaming M.F.E.O. Yep! Made for each other!

They even have a summer camp! You know I'm going to go see if they sell t-shirts!

Nickelcade!

Well we started off the night as planned with going to dinner at Andrew's favorite place Five Guys. We were supposed to work tonight but as luck would have it we got the night off! So after a few quick text messages a new adventure was planned!

To kill sometime and let everyone get to the next stop before us I let Andrew choose the next stop. He chose Deseret Book (yes he is the spiritual giant in our home) so we could watch part of the Pres. Hinckley movie! It was really good!

Then we made our way to our final destination NICKELCADE!!!!!!!!! Our great friends met us there! This is Carly and Steph showing off there winnings!

Alex and Emily showing off their Junior Jazz skills! We are signing them up for the next Hoop it Up, or RoundBall Ruckus!

Andrew cruising on his Star Wars game! I beat him.... Awkward...

Carly had some insane luck at the machines... I'm taking her to Wendover, for sure!

Vanessa and Rich brought the highlight of the night! Yep that's a snuggly! How great are they!?

Drew cashing in his loot! He hit it big on his shoot 'em up games!

More tickets!

Yep that's my boy! We had a great night thanks to everyone who came and made it amazing!!

Then we ended the night with some amazing cupcakes for Andrew, home made by Aubree and Zach! Jelly Bellys from Julie! And a little Real World! a great night for all!

Happy Birthday Drew... Sort of...

Well it's still not Drew's birthday (but we appreciate your enthusiasm Caitlin!) and we will be babysitting over his actual birthday we had our family party this Sunday! My sister Kami was in charge of the cake and went above and beyond and made a Texas Sheet Cake... I was confused why she didn't make a Provo Sheet Cake, but oh well!

After all of Kami's hard work there was mass confusion and this is what Drew ended up with! Candles were missing, someone showed up with pies! So Drew ended up celebrating his 8th birthday with a pie!

Mac Workshop

For a terrific Saturday outing Drew and I headed down to The Gateway. Mainly just to hangout in in the Apple Store. As luck would have it we stumbled upon the free workshop where we learned all about the new iMovie. It's worlds easier then the original iMovie. And you can't beat a free tutorial. I would highly recommend the workshops. I hope your Saturday was as enjoyable as ours!

Nintendo!!

To add to Drew's birthday month palooza I enlisted the help of my mom! She helped me to create a blast from the past night for Drew! She set up her original NES Nintendo at her house, on her projector and huge screen! The way NES was always meant to be played!

She provided us with some of the all time greats! Contra, Excite Bike, Marios, Duck Hunt, etc etc... Literally she got over 18 games!

So simple, these paddles! These are about the only ones I can manage! Who needs more then an A and B button?

Just seeing these paddles makes me happy!

On the old console! I just had to throw in a picture!

Drew's game of Contra on the big screen.

The duck getting away, just so we could see the dog laugh at us! I still hate that dog! All in all it was fun to go back to the much simpliar times! I LOVE March!!!!

Home Show

We went to the Home Show tonight (I'm fact I'm blogging from the car right now, love this phone) with my mom! I can remember coming to the Home Show with my mom for years. And Drew for the last few years has worked at the show for his uncles shutter company Old World Mill (the best In the business!). It was so fun to be with both of them.

It's so fun to go places with my mom and Drew because they both LOVE doing any kind of project! I swear they are the same person! This is a fountain my mom wants Drew to build in her backyard.

This is a kitchen that I LOVED! I'm a sucker for beadboard! Especially redd! Ugh amazing!

This is my kind of planter box! Vinyl boxes that are all angles are within arms reach! I thought it was pretty cool!

A beautiful hutch! I love these dishes I think the accent the add is stunning! I like taking pictures of what I will want one day in our home. There are almost too many options sometimes, but who would really complain about that!

Planter boxes my mom wants Drew to weld! Another one of my wonderful husbands talents!

I really like the blue in this waterfall!

I love seeing all of the different things you can do around your house! It makes me even more excited knowing that Drew is capable of doing a lot of them!

The Latest by Tiek Built Homes!

Here is a basement that we just finished and I loved how it turned out so I thought I would showcase our work.

The wainscot and the paint turned out so well in this room! Also I love the trim around the doors and windows, they turned out great and look amazing! the headers above the doors have really near detail on them that adds a real richness to the room.

We will for sure be using this blue in our own home one day, we both LOVE it! It came from a Noah's building. The company that Lindsay's brother is the marketing director! Legend has it he chose this very blue!

While I am not in love with the paint or carpet color the clients chose for this room we sure put a good spread on the walls! Steve hates as much as I do headers (above doors) that run into walls! He has a great eye for making rooms balanced, and aesthetically pleasing!

Hair Cut!

Just to show off Drew's hair cut! And to prove to the blogging world that I am back! Thanks to this amazing phone I am blogging immediately after taking this picture!

The full faux hawk! It's a beauty! I love this phone and my husband!

Radical Reels!

To celebrate Drew's birth month I surprised him with tickets to Radical Reels! We missed the Banff Film Festival but lucky for us Radical Reels was the next this week! We have gone to Banff every year, and we LOVE it!

We started off he night as tradition has it at The Pie! As always it didn't disappoint!

And yes the iPhone was invited!

And the main event! It was truly remarkable what people can so! Banff is an extreme sport film festival! It was a fun night to celebrate Drew!

Kite Flying!

Today we had another birthday surprise for Drew!

Drew got home from work and we headed to the park to make best use of a windy day!

My kite was cuter!

And Caesar was in trouble, so he had to sit and watch! We LOVE March!
