She's Had a Birthday!

Hooray! Cleo turned 1!
Our pudgy little puppy has grown into a pretty little lady.
She got a new collar, and a beautiful bow. Inspired by her best friend Dotti the Labrador!
The pooches on the porch.
Happy Birthday 'Cleo'patra! We love our pups!

Lap Dog

Now all Drew needs is a purse so he can take Caesar with him everywhere!
Last night I cried because I was worried if Caesar died, would he know we loved him. (Random I know.) And then I see things like this and I realize, Caesar is one of the most spoiled dogs ever! We sure love our first born!

Books on Our Nightstand!

I recently joined a book club. Still can't really grasp the reality of being old enough to be in a book club. When did that happen? Anywho... We are onto our second book and I am LOVING it so faAlign Centerr.
It's right along the lines of everything I study. How the brain functions, that dictates our actions, reactions etc.
And Drew's company book group is reading getting things done. We'll let you know how they turn out! What's on your nightstand?
In other news.... Look what I happened upon in my backyard!!! Pussy willows! SPRING.... Craziness, this was the shortest winter of my life.
And in even bigger news meet Jackson. Caesar and Cleo's newest cousin. We can't wait to meet this little Ewok!
Basically just a glorified dust bunny!

Dog Beds

Have you looked at dog beds lately? More specifically dog beds that will fit 2 ponies? Well I have. And they are EXPENSIVE! So I found some pool chair lounger pads (do you follow?) Now all I needed was a cover, seeing as how my dogs spend most of their days trying to figure out how to carry in as much dirt into the house as possible. So I spent a lot of time cruising around fabric stores and contemplating the meaning of a 'yard'. Anyway.... Turns out fabrics way expensive. Sooo... After I bought a new duvet cover for our bed I decided to use our old one for slipcovers for the dog beds.
I bought new pins that were super pretty! Pretty things always make projects more enjoyable. So I dusted off the sewing machine my granny gave me. Took a quick look at a YouTube video on how thread my sewing machine and I was off!
And they fit perfectly! With just a tiny bit of fabric left over!
So after all of my hard work to show appreciation to me the dogs stepped over the beds, and crammed themselves into Cleo's kennel.
Seriously?! Oh well! How cute are they? The Loooove each other!

Girls Day Out

So I am obsessed with skiing at Bonneville now, super convenient and the fact that you can take dogs off leash there is a huge plus. So I raced home from work today because I had a break before going back tonight. When I realized all of my ski clothes were still in the washer. I threw some stuff in the dryer for 5 minutes. I couldn't wait any longer, I pulled out all my wet clothes and threw them on. My body heat would dry it, right? I took Cleo with me this time. Cleo off leash is just much more obedient. She just came that way.
So I started my RunKeeper app, this time figured out how to have it alert me every mile I skied. It's so neat to know how far you have gone, and how long you have been going without missing a beat. Literally, the app voice just tells you right over your music.
Cleo was so fun to ski with, until she spotted some deer droppings on the track and didn't get out of the way in time.
She had the time of her life, and it blows my mind how fast she is. Caesar was just gangly up until about a month ago.
The scenery as always was beautiful. So we had a great day skiing, and bonding as girls. When we got home Caesar had left a very clear message that he did not appreciate being left at home.
I will admit this was my fault. I had filled up our Costco boxes with our trash and left it at the foot of the stairs to take it out later. I forgot and left it there. Caesar some how managed to get out of his kennel and had his way with the trash.
To make sure that he is never left out again.
Ughhh.... Exhausting!
I came home and Caesar had guilt written all over him. Usually he begs for attention when we come home. This time he bolted out the door and I couldn't get him back inside. To his credit though he stayed off the bed and couches!
And this is what I recommend to any pet owner. Nature's Miracle will get rid of any stain! So fantastic! And this carpet powder keeps the house from smelling like a pet shop! Just a little FYI from me to you!

Max and Cleo engaging in deep conversation.
Cute feet!
I love them both!
Caesar finally taking an interest in Michael. Saddle up.
Our Caesar boy! What a pooch.
Why do these boys have to live so far away?

Best of Friends

This is the reason I will never own just one dog!
No one could love a dog like another dog can! It is cute to see the special bond these pooches have with each other.
Drew and I were reading in the living room and these two joined us for a little Sunday afternoon snuggle.
I heart them, almost as much as they heart each other. Seriously could this be any cuter? I think not.
Too precious!
