A Little Get-Away!

Fall has to be the absolute best season of the year!  We headed up to Sundance to spend the night... And of course we forgot our camera! Bummer, but we tried with our camera phones.  They just don't do it justice, the leaves were amazing... I recommend to anyone to make the drive to Provo, but take the way through Heber... As pretty as I-15 is, there just is no real comparison... ha!

Our favorite place (after Sundance of course) to go is Heber/Midway.  We love the scenery and getting out and visiting cute restaurants and boutiques.  I love when Andrew says 'boutique' such a delicate word to come out of such a large man!

The gate to the Cabin had the most beautiful yellow tree!  Again ruined by or camera phone, but it was incredible!

The hike to Stewart Falls was amazing the mountains were on fire with color!

Caesar was playing hide-and-seek in the grass!

I wish we had better pictures, this view was incredible!  The mountain that you see here that looks brown, was actually bright redd!!

Our puppy at the waterfall!

So curious!

After our hike we went back to the cabin and made a 'Haunted GingerBread House'.  It turned out quite nicely!

My 'Little' lap dog!
He still thinks he's just a little guy!

And where did they think I was going to sleep?

Yep I'm There Aunt!

ha ha this was my sister Kami's neighborhood where all this happened! 7000 minks were let loose into her neighborhood!  That is my niece Lizzy who is sitting down looking in the cage at the mink!  She's the one wearing a tutu and a princess crown!! Fantastic!  And the little boy who thought it was an otter... Yep that's my nephew... and the little girl chompin' her gum next to him is my niece Katie!!!  What a great day for the Giles Family!!

What Can't This Boy Do?!

Just when I think I have the most incredible husband in the world, he goes and does something like this!  And totally confirms in my mind that he is truly AMAZING!!  My husband can build stairs!!! What!  I seriously think I am married to a super hero!!

What can't this kid do?!

Just to brag about my husband a little more...
The past 4 months Andrew has been working his full-time job, then going up to Ogden, and working on that house... Countless nights getting home around 1 or 2 in the morning he would be to work at 8... Just to do it all again the next day!  This last week Andrew had worked a full day, then headed up to Ogden and got home at 3 a.m. The next day he was at work at 8.  Got off work, went and painted a garage, stained a porch and laid tile.  Went to Ogden to finish up the last of the house.  He got home at 2 a.m.  The next day, after the house was finished, Drew was off to work building this porch and stairs.  He was so exhausted that night he pulled up to the front of our house and threw-up!  The next day he was up at 8 for church!
He's my hero!  And I love him so much!  Just thought I would share how wonderful he is!
The house is finished and on the market!  One last blog of before and after!

So if you happen to be looking to move to Ogden... Let us know!

Look How Much My Mom Loves Me!!!!

For just about every birthday I have ever had my mom has made me a Barbie cake! This year for the big 23, it was Cinderella! I know you are jealous!! I wish I could find all of my other Barbie cake pictures! My mom is truly amazing, the one year I didn't get a Barbie cake she made me the Disneyland castle! She even made my wedding cake come to think of it!! She LOOOOVESSS me!!

My Birthday Presents!!!

Just to show you how awesome my family is I thought I would put up my presents! I decided this year I was going to try out road biking, maybe it was the little mini tour de utah I got to witness. Or the fact that you cannot drive anywhere without almost running over a biker, that road biking has been on my mind! Well this was the year!

Drewpy surprised me with the road bike shoes I have been wanting, what is even more impressive was how he knew which size shoe to get. I have about three different shoe sizes in or closet!
Aren't they darling? I asked him if I could have some of his socks so i could wear them over my shoes, so they wouldn't get dirty... The look he gave me, I assume meant no.

My super adorable helmet, that Amy and Rich Hogan gave me!! How amazing are my in-laws... Jealous?

Now it all got a little hazy from here! I just kept opening stuff it was amazing, I think these are from Drew, or at least that's what I was lead to believe... But they could be from Rich and Amy now that I think of it, I'll have to make some phone calls tomorrow!
Oh and Drew (for sure) bought me the white bar tape to re-do the handle bars on my sweet Schwinn... Say that 5x fast!

And last but not least the 'terrifying' click pedals! I am so excited about them, but they truly terrify me! I am still too scared to ride my bike during the day, because it takes me so long to click in, and get out of them is a whole other traumatizing story! But they are AMAZING!! Andrew is going to take me to pick out some new wheels for my purple wonder! I can't wait!! Thank you to my incredible family!!

A Taste for Fashion.... D a r n Dog!

Just when he had lured us into a false sense of security... He attacked... Not once... But twice... Little bugger! It started off with Drew's Lacoste shoe. To Caesars defense Andrew had worn them fishing and left them out on the porch, and as you can imagine, the musky, wet odor was more than a dog could take. So we thought that was that, and we went and bought Caesar a Rawhide bone that was the size of my leg. Apparently an hour was all he needed to get the job done.

Then he struck again. They say lighting doesn't strike twice, but Caesar sure does. His next item of business was my Lacoste shoe!! To make matters worse he was chewing it right in front of us as we were watching a movie. Drew and I both thought it was just his shoe. With a quick flip of the light our eyes locked onto the devastation. In a few quick 'nibbles' this was all that remained! Bummer!

So if you enter our house with a tiny alligator decal on your clothing.... You've been warned!
