Cabin Fun!

We didn't get to spend much time up at the cabin, because of finals, work and youth conference. But what time we did have there was fabulous as always!
Kids playing at the park! Too cute!
Caesar trying to play on the park! Not as cute.... Okay, way cute to us!
And lovers by the waterfall! Love our cute little family!

Smitten

I know they have chewed up almost every pair of shoes I own, they have accidents, they bring in dirt from the yard by the bucket full, they sleep perpendicular on the bed, but I love these pooches.
How could that snuggle not melt your heart?

My Solution to the Summer Heat!

It's no secret that I do not tolerate heat well! It doesn't bring out the best in me!
So here is my solution to our boiling hot basement! Yep
That's a fan taped (with electrical tape!) to our window! Best nights sleep so far!

Youth Conference

Was such a blast!
Such an awesome group of kids, and leaders! I knew I would enjoy going camp... I just wasn't prepared for how much fun I would have!
Our cute girls that could make it.
Riding the tram down the mountain was absolutely beautiful! It doesn't get much prettier then Utah.
Blowing up our full size air mattress (twice... Sophia!) so we could have two magical nights snuggled together!
Sophia being great, as usual. Love her!
Last night of camp we taped glow sticks to our selves so that we looked like skeletons! Too bad we couldn't figure out how to take the flash off! In the dark it looked amazing. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. Except for the night before when Sophia and I were drugged, and kept Chrissie up until 3, laughing. "Because there is nothing wrong with Del Taco!"
The tram down the mountain! Thanks for the pictures Sophia!

Fourth of July

Our awesome Fourth of July started with a high heeled fashion show from this guy! Obsession continues!
Then some swim time at Mimi and Papa's Swim and Tennis club! Complete with snack bar! It's the high life!
Michael always the best influence for safety, did his annual roof jump. Mimi again was less then thrilled!
Indy, joined this year to make it a doubles jumping event!
Synchronizing at it's finest! Good form.
Then to continue the theme of 'Safety First!'. We had our firework show! This year, to really wow the crowd my dad and brother lot the fireworks off in their hands! (Avoid watching Holly!). My mom was lucky enough to be worried for her children's safety, twice this year! Good year!

YouTube Video

Best part of year, watching my dad swing on a swing with a firework in his hands! All fun and games until next year someone loses an eye!

Yellow Door...

I know you could just scroll down to the previous post to see the before, but who doesn't like a good reminder of what was?
Here is the last shot of a black door. People doubted me when I told them I wanted a yellow door. We even had neighbors telling us just to leave it black. Nope!
The yellow looks even better then I had hoped!!
I love love love it. And it was worth the wait! The house got put on hold while Drew was laid up in bed with a hurt back! I will show you the culprit of his back in a moment. Anyway, Saturday rolled around and Drew emerged from the house to put another coat of paint on the house, and paint the door.
The pictures just don't even do it justice. It is a perfect yellow with the green of the house!
Drew also fixed out beat up door yesterday. As you can see it had seen better days. But Drew got to work to make it look brand new!
He bondo-ed the door, to take out the huge scratch marks, and smoothed out the ugly details on the middle of the door. And removed the grid of the glass at the top of the door.
It has never looked better. It looks like a brand new door.
And this is what ruined Drew's back. He dug out all of these rocks, and one by one, with the help of our AWESOME neighbors, we put each rock back. Then Drew and our amazing neighbor Dave shoveled the remaining dirt into Drew's truck and then shoveled it again into a dumpster. It was a lot of work, but it looks so good. Thanks everyone for your help!

Super Sized

Super sized should be the theme for Drew. He is a super sized human, with super sized ideas and super sized ambition to turn his ideas into reality.
Kids love Drew a super sized amount. We watched Kate and Lilly one weekend. Now when Kate sees a redd truck she shouts "Andrew!".
He loves our super sized dogs!
He takes on super sized projects, multiple at a time. Not only does Drew work full time, but after hours he works almost every night, but Sunday until 9 or 10pm as handyman.
Somehow with all of that going on he found time to redo the entire exterior of our house.
He changed the entire house. We aren't finished with the paint yet as you can see. But it's getting there. Our sprinkler system finally died. So Drew had to turn his attention to the yard.
Down to the landscaping. He took out the awful chain link, rented a bobcat, leveled out the dirt and removed the plethora of rocks that were consuming our lawn. You should see the looks we get from people driving by. He did it so fast people can't believe it.
And last and certainly not least, this super sized man... Is a super sized husband. Not to be too mushy, but this man is my everything. These last two months, to not be too 'woe is me', were not some of my greatest. And Drew was there for me every step of the way. Poor Drew cares about me so much I began to physically see the worry in his body. I love him more then I ever believed it was possible to love another person. Thank you Drew, for all you do! You're a SuperMan!
