Office Day...

Our anniversary was splendid thank you for asking... We had a simple day today and have a full day of fun coming Friday! But now.... Offices.... I love a good office. I love looking at pictures of offices and seeing how people organize all their goods... And seeing all the goods I need!
This desk has to be my absolute favorite... It does remind me a touch of Jim from The Office's mega desk... Just a touch... What I love is the mix of finishes, layers and mix of styles. The stained wood next to metal legs! I die!

(via)

This looks feminine, but a swap of the curtains and some accessories it can be more gender neutral... I love a good grey!

(via)

No way around this one... It's all girl and all good! I love the gold LOVE print from Made By Girl.... The turquoise skull is a need on my list... And the fuchsia tipped stag head needs to make its way into my home...

(via)

So much to like in this office... What I first noticed was the paint colors... Dark gray walls, light grey cabinets, white floor and blue/green ceiling... The desk with a roll of paper, giant glass jar of tape and the balance lamps framing the desk are all delightful...

What steals the show for me in this office is the yellow of the National Geographics, over the tufted coral love seat... Such a warm soft touch in a dark rigid room.

Polka dot oil cloth desktop... Yes please. I think the wrapped rope light is a fun touch.

Oh this office.... This office.... I need... The mix of furniture rehabbed to look unique yet uniform... The center turquoise island desk with all that shelving and storage...

(via)

I love how they wrapped the gallery wall on each wall of the corner. And the baby desk is perfect for the itty entrepreneur...

This is how my future office will look... The stain grade opening to paint grade... All that wood work makes me swoon!

(via)

And Dutch door opening... Give me a break.... It's perfect!

I love the huge inspiration board... In my opinion an inspiration board can't be too big. The bamboo chairs are wonderful as well!

I like how they have a straight lined bottom with their gallery art...
A Cloffice! You know I love a Cloffice! Especially with wallpaper!

A creative use of space gets me going! As do those glasses full of prismacolor markers... I need I need! And those are some of my office inspirations!

Need help with your office? Shoot me an email! I would love to help.

It's Our Anniversary!

It's our anniversary! Hooray us! And I'm just as madly in love with Drewpy as I was the day we tied the knot... Dare I say more in love!
If I had remembered our anniversary earlier... i.e. Drew and I both remembered yesterday... I would have bought a pretty little card... Or two... One from me and one too me....

Have you seen the Strong Men Valentine stuff at Target? Absolutely darling! I just looked online for a half hour and can't find it... Ugh...

And thank goodness we didn't use our Anniversary as any password or we would have to reset them all! Oops!

A Nursery...

I got to work on a nursery for a dear friend... I loved it! I was so happy with how it all came together. It's hard for me to pick a favorite in this room. If I had to it would probably be how the wall color and crib color came together.
We went with Benjamin Moore's Pink Orchid for the walls. It is a soft pale pink... It's perfect! The crib as I blogged about before, is Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue... I chose two accent colors for the room... Pale blue and gold... I'm crazy about how they all go together!
The dresser below was one they had on hand. A quick trip to Hobby Lobby to buy some Sale priced pink glass knobs and voila.... Baby girl ready...
Sophia chose these darling pages from her Eloise books and framed them. Adorable.
That glare in the picture is driving me crazy...
Simple sheets from Target... It's all you need. The bumper is a super soft minky that, don't worry will be removed when babe gets mobile...
The star of the show...
Sophia had this bird rack, that I believe was oil rubbed bronze.... Quick sprays of Rustoleum's Gold spray paint and its just perfect. Tiny ones got accessories!
A nursery is not complete without a rocker. I think this was one of the first purchases for the room... Love the clean lines and untraditional style. The white knit throw and ruffled pillow adds a feminine look. This chair can really grow with baby girl. We chose a gray ottoman from Target. I wanted it to tame the feminine overload. It gives some anchor to the room. Of course budget permitting I would have had this gold pouf.
Hello baby bunting came from a shower decoration Sophia's very talented friend through for her... Darling.
This lamp was a tired old black... Gold spray paint gave it a fresh look it needed.
Love this corner.
This was a brown wooden shelf I sprayed with the Wagner Sprayer with the same Palladian blue. Getting all those nooks and crannies was tricky. But I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
Styled by Sophia... Don't you love that ceramic trophy from Target that was spray painted gold?
This rug is incredible... A plain ikea Erslev rug got a quick DIY fix up. Using Martha Stewart's Gold Glitter Dust Paint from Home Depot and a circle stencil from Hobby Lobby, the plain Jane rug is quite a beauty.
Sophia did the polka dots at random and its perfectly imperfect.
Last touch of pink and gold greets you at the door. A gilded gold frame that Sophia snagged from a throw away pile. Good grab!
A darling nursery for a darling girl...

Friday Fun...

How amazing are these carved magazines?

We puppy sat my brother and sister-in-law's bulldog puppy... Mac is the best with puppies. He is so patient and playful... Cleo is the head matriarch in the pooch world... When puppies start to get too rough she stands up and bops them on the back. Polly on the other hand is the resident biotch.... She grumps around the house when puppies are near.

Suspiciously similar book covers... Here...

I want this ipad brush.... Bad!
Almost like modern day snow crop circles... Maybe I should just rename this weeks post to Flavorwire finds!
Probably need a pair of these...

This sums up our New Years.... And everyday! What happened to me?? Speaking of New Years Eve, Drewpy and I had a Back to the Future Trilogy Marathon! It was epic! Always been some of my favorite movies!
My thoughts exactly.... (Well I guess my thoughts have an apostrophe and spell traveled correctly)... At least they knew their Back to the Future facts!

This guy is my hero and working on an actual hoverboard! If I don't have one in 2015 I'm suing Mattel and Robert Zemeckis! That is all!

Happy Friday!

Mud Room Magic...

Drew and I have been discussing must haves in our dream home... One on the must have list is a super functional mud room... Drew designed and built this entire mud room... It was just an open room before... For us, we want a mud room, that has a drain and a wash stall to hose pooches off after hikes or muddy walks! That would be a life changer... Here are some of my favorites!

Love this wash stall... Reclaimed floors... And silhouette labels on the baskets. I'm a huge believer in everything having a place. This would make life so much easier when you are trying to find little ones socks, shoes or snow gloves... As a nanny getting kids ready to go play in the snow gives me a pit in my stomach!

This link has a lot of beautiful mud rooms...

Love this idea of a reclaimed wash basin... Perfect for little pups...

(via)

I love the idea of pebble flooring in the bottom of the stall in the mudroom. I might be making this boot mat until then. Love this look!

Dog nook is perfect! I kind of think about a mud room for those of us with dogs... As part dog room, as you can see.

(via)

The idea of fold up chairs is brilliant. A place to put your gear on, but doesn't take up any room when you are done. Love the whitewashed walls, with wire chandelier. Exposed beams are my love!

(via)

Cement and brick trough sink with wall mount faucet? Yes please!

(via)

Love the blue, and individual seats and pads! Also the curved dividers gives the space dimension and creates visual space because they don't create hard dividing lines.

(via)

Love the floor, and the horizontal trim on the left walls. Interesting dynamic with the zig zag and straight lines.

(via)

(via)

Crazy about these rolling ladders. Cubbies are pretty spectacular too! I also like the goose neck faucets, on the porcelain sink, on a stainless counter. A blend of industrial and fancy!

(via)

Curved trim! Beautiful!

So there are some of my favorites!
