Here is the Church....

And here's it's steeple...
Oh the church in Oysterville... With it's unique shakes, ornate balustrade, detailed frieze board, elegant corbels, moss lined roof, and salmon accent color... Made me swoon...
I mean just look at the barge blocks, that subtle swoop? Yes please!

The above picture shows the crown that sits on top op the frieze board, which is the flat board that rises to a peak.... Ya get what I mean? No? Well google it....

I developed a real "thing" for corbels! I want them every where! And the detail in these corbels was magnificent!

Just look at that! As my mechanics Wayne would say.... "It's exciting..." In a real non excited tone and in situations that didn't quite warrant it...

Well if the outside didn't get you going.... The inside probably won't either.... If it did, follow along little one.... Because I'm about to squeeze your mind grapes... (A la 30 Rock...)

Lets start with the wallpaper! Oh my! The prettiest sage with the warmest creme... Perfection... Next up on the eye candy treasure hunt.... I almost said trail but that would be innappropriate... Look at that fluted chair rail? It was about 5" wide and it was amazing! Then the 3" tongue and groove wainscot.... Mind. Blown...

I mean even the door knobs.... The sign on the door said please keep door closed.... My mom opened it.... She don't curr... She's awesome...

The chapel... I wish I could finish up the nursery rhyme I started at the beginning if the post... But there are no people... But you can imagine my fingers braided together going all wiggly... Open the doors, here's all the people!... Good enough? Good.
The chapel.... Oh where to begin? Anywhere? Okay...
The dimension of the ceiling... The wallpapered ceiling, the band going across the wall to divide the wallpaper that the tall windows overlapped.... I. Love. It. All.

Close up of the wallpaper.... Peeling, yet still amazing!

Wrapped up with the detail on the pulpit...

Terrific... A design eyes heaven...

Amen.
