Trim....

We are now entering the fun part of our home renovation. TRIM!

I have been loving on this square trim for a while now. Above is shown with the detail inside each square.

And here are just the squares. We are doing the more intricate look, and I can't wait for it to be done!

We started out with some really fun math to try and figure out where all the trim would go and look the best. Then we dismantled our bed that Drew built, and Polly destroyed... Lovely... So our before was this...

This pic was obviously Pre Polly terror!

We are doing thus trim on a curved wall! Exciting! That made for an extra step in our process. We had to score the back of each horizontal piece so it curved with the wall. Brilliant Drewpy made a jig on his chop saw, so I could evenly score the strips with out cutting all the way through the wood.

We decided our bed was just too big and bulky for the room.... And a certain Polly nibbled on the corner. So we took the bed apart and reused it for this trim! Awesome!

Now that we have all the big squares up we need to do the quarter round trim on the inside like we did with our beam in the Kitchen.

Love are tiny recessed art light from ikea. The trim will be accented perfectly with these lights.
